I had an excellent experience with CPR Lifeline, especially while completing the AHA blended online program. Their process for providing a clean, convenient space to complete the hands‑on skills assessment is extremely well organized.

Chris Peters gave thorough and clear instructions on everything I needed to do before arriving, including how to enter the space and ensuring all pre‑skills certificates were completed ahead of time. His communication was efficient, professional, and made the entire process smooth from start to finish. He is truly excellent at what he does.

I also appreciate the multiple location options near my home and the variety of times available to schedule my skills check‑off. The flexibility made it easy to fit certification into my busy schedule.

I will definitely use CPR Lifeline again for future renewals and highly recommend them to anyone completing the AHA blended course.

The location was easy to find. The room and equipment were clean and in great order. I appreciated all the correspondence that was sent prior to my skills check and the accessibility of an individual if you needed them. The skills check off was efficient and to the point. I had my reservations about the automation, but it was seamless and incredibly easy to navigate. Would 100% recommend if you are needing renewal/certification, especially with a quick turn around.

I recently completed my AHA certification through CPR Lifeline with Chris and Ashley Peters, and the entire process was incredibly smooth and convenient. They provided clear instructions and were very responsive.

I completed the online modules at my own pace and then went to one of the skills sites for the tech-guided skills portion. I was in and out in about 20 minutes!

If you need your AHA certificate in a simple and efficient way, I highly recommend CPR Lifeline. It was a great experience all around!

This was my first time as a Registered Nurse with CPR Lifeline utilizing the online modules at home and the skills assessment on site. BLS skills training was very smooth. Chris Peters was very communicative regarding scheduling, directions, parking, and follow up instructions. The skills training center was clean and organized. (I also appreciated the free parking at the Music Circle location) I even received my AHA card the same day I finished my test! Thank you for helping me stay BLS certified

Jason Wells
Place was easy to find. The test is real work. The computer program works like a real AED. It s analyzes your compressions and rescue breaths.
Liz Harris
Great experience and thank you for such great support and communication
Karissa Shields
It was very easy place to find. The set up is easy to use and area was clean. Chris Peters gives very easy instructions and many reminders which is helpful. My only complaint is I was having trouble with ventiliation, the computer was not reading my "breaths" given. Of course it would have bee nice to have an instructor, but I understand this was a "me error." I will also blame my small hands. Luckily I was given another chance to pass. Overall 5/5.

Many Tennessee employers require current CPR certification, especially in healthcare, childcare, education, coaching, and public safety roles such as nurses, EMTs, teachers, coaches, lifeguards, firefighters, and police officers. It is always important to confirm the exact requirement with your licensing board or employer.

Tennessee law does not require CPR certification for the general public, but mandates it for specific licensed professionals and regulated settings like healthcare, schools, and childcare. Emergency Medical Services Providers need a Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification at the Healthcare Provider level, covering adult, child, and infant CPR, bag-valve mask use, and AED operation. Some Emergency Medical Technicians may also require a First Aid course based on employer policies rather than direct state mandates.

For regulated roles such as EMTs and healthcare providers in Tennessee, hands-on skills evaluations through classroom or blended training are required. 100% online CPR is available only at the employer's or institution's discretion and is not accepted by the state licensing department or for EMS continuing education credits.

We offer AHA blended learning HeartCode online courses, CPR, First Aid, BLS, ACLS, and PALS, combined with a brief 30‑minute, in-person, hands-on skills check using a Voice Assisted Manikin (VAM). These advanced manikins guide you through each step of the skills check, helping ensure you are confident and proficient in life-saving techniques.

Yes, you are protected if you perform good faith emergency care like CPR without negligence under the Tennessee Good Samaritan law. The protection applies to both trained rescuers and lay bystanders in many situations.

Your CPR certification in Tennessee is typically valid for two years from the issue date and is aligned with American Heart Association guidelines widely used statewide. After two years, you will need to renew it by completing a hands-on skill test before expiration to maintain compliance for roles like EMS providers, nurses, and school staff.
