Slight problem to start with. The server was down so I was not able to schedule my time online but very nice lady help me out and sent me a direct link. Everything else here could not have been easier. I became an EMT over 40 years ago and this was the easiest but also thorough recertification that I went through.
A very easy self operated BLS skills check
Thank you!
It was a good experience with CPR lifeline today. I was given detailed instructions regarding my skills check and was able to pass it in one go.
Excellent way to train and assess your CPR skills. Also being very convenient and quick.
I had a lovely time today getting my BLS certification from CPR Lifeline. When I was having issues with one of the skills, I called and they immediately encouraged me and helped me out through the skills. I felt supported and encouraged. The process was very easy and quick; price was a reasonable price. Thank you so much! I will be back in 2028!
I had a fantastic experience with CPR Lifeline! I needed to renew my BLS certification and, after completing the online portion, found CPR Lifeline for my in-person skills check. The entire process could not have been easier. Scheduling was simple, the instructions beforehand were incredibly clear and thorough, and the skills check itself was extremely efficient and straightforward. I really appreciated how well organized everything was from start to finish. I would absolutely recommend CPR Lifeline to anyone needing BLS certification or renewal!
It was a wonderful experience. The instructor guidance was exceptional.
This program was thorough and easily flexible with my busy schedule. The online portion was easy to understand and it was really nice to have a private space to practice during the in person skills session. Will be coming back in a year for my cpr renewal!
I completed my BLS certification here and it was an excellent experience. They were very accommodating for a last-minute appointment. The customer service was great, and the guidance was very clear. I am highly satisfied and recommend CPR Life Line to anyone looking to get their BLS certification.
I would totally recommend doing your CPR/BLS training through them. It has a practice mode before the assessment and had a retry mode in case you did not do well. This was helpful because I was able to learn the proper method until I got it right.
We had a great experience with CPR Lifeline! I was completing my BLS renewal, while my son was earning his BLS certification for the very first time. They allowed us to sign up and complete the hands-on portion the same day, which was incredibly convenient. Although the instructor was remote, the setup worked extremely well. He was able to observe by camera and provide real-time guidance. Everything was professional, convenient, and well organized. Highly recommend CPR Lifeline!
Clear Instructions EASY and FAST !
Everything was clean and in good repair. Operated as promised. Simple process.
Quick, easy, and simple.
Very easy process and excellent directions.
Very easy to follow and self-paced.
Great experience! Friendly staff, flexible schedule had quick responsive timing.
My experience was great. The process was smooth and easy. The instructions were clear and direct. Everything was clean and prepared for me when I arrived. I received my ecard right after I completed the skills check off.
Was nice not to have anyone around but guided through by computer instructions. Made the class easy to learn in a quiet environment. Very clean.
First great experience and will try again 😃
Great group of people, knowledgeable and professional. Thank you.
Great place to get your cpr certification!!!!! Super quick and easy I finished mine within 40 minutes super easy!!
Easy and too the point with both online and skills test. Would recommend
The hybrid program was great! The online portion was easy to follow, and the skills check-off went smoothly. Everything was simple, clear, and easy to complete.
I have had horrible experience with company. Initially, the link to finalize registration was broken. I called the support line for assistance, and I was finally able to register. I was sent a confirmation email for the appointment time and instructions for how to begin the skills portion of the class. However, I was not able to access the course due to not having a follow up email sent to me regarding an account setup. Because no one was onsite to assist, I called the support line. No one answered. I then emailed the support email address. I get a reply stating that I need to complete registration even though I had received a confirmation email that it was done and my credit card was charged. I waited at the class site for an entire hour before I finally left with no resolution.

Hopefully, I follow up with a positive outcome. In the interim, my rating will stay at a 1.
The blended learning was so user friendly. There were many time slots to choose from for the skills portion. Clear, easy instructions were provided to get into the site. Both the line and skills portion were exactly what I’ve been provided with working at a hospital. Would 100% recommend.

Faqs

Voice-Assisted Manikin (VAM) Training is a CPR training manikin that provides instant, standardized feedback. As learners practice, the manikin gives corrective audio prompts (and often visual cues) to ensure proper technique.

VAM technology is a key feature in many blended-learning programs, including the American Heart Association’s HeartCode® courses. In these programs, students first complete the online portion, then demonstrate hands-on skills with a VAM. Acting like a personal coach, the VAM objectively guides and evaluates essential CPR skills such as compression depth, rate, recoil, hand placement, and ventilation timing and volume.

Research shows that automated voice feedback not only improves initial CPR skill learning but, in some cases, performs just as effectively as instructor-led training for specific skills. Because of this, VAM is recognized as a reliable tool for verifying CPR competency in blended courses and as a valuable complement to instructor-based training.

The American Heart Association’s HeartCode® programs are blended-learning courses for BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support). cpr.heart.org+2cpr.heart.org+2

Rather than doing the entire course in person, HeartCode allows learners to complete the cognitive (knowledge) portion online—at their own pace—before attending a hands-on skills session where CPR, AED use, airway management, and other life-support procedures are practiced and tested. cpr.heart.org+3cpr.heart.org+3cpr.heart.org+3

Key features & benefits

  • Self-paced online learning: Students can log in/out, work in segments, and proceed when ready. elearning.heart.org+3cpr.heart.org+3cpr.heart.org+3
  • Adaptive / scenario-based content: The 2020 version uses a “True Adaptive™” algorithm to personalize the path through content, plus “Cognitive Assessment Activities” (CAAs) rather than full-blown eSimulations. cpr.heart.org
  • Hands-on skills session: After completing the online portion, learners must attend an in-person or simulation-based session to demonstrate psychomotor skills. cpr.heart.org+2cpr.heart.org+2
  • Consistent learning outcomes: The learning objectives align with those in traditional instructor-led courses, so students receive the same foundational knowledge and skills. cpr.heart.org+1
  • Flexibility & efficiency: Because much of the instruction is online, organizations and learners gain flexibility in scheduling and resource use. RQI Partners, LLC+1
  • Certification / eCard: Upon successful completion of both the online and hands-on portions, learners receive an AHA provider card (often an eCard) valid for two years.
  • If a person is unresponsive, not breathing, or breathing abnormally (gasps), you should start CPR.
  • Don’t waste time trying to find a pulse—lay rescuers are discouraged from extended pulse checks; start compressions promptly. Sarver Heart Center+2Mayo Clinic+2
  • The “Chain of Survival” emphasizes early recognition, early CPR, early defibrillation, and early advanced support. Wikipedia
  • CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is the basic life-saving technique of chest compressions (and sometimes rescue breaths) used when someone’s heart stops.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) builds on CPR and is for healthcare providers: it includes use of an AED, two-rescuer CPR, and airway management.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) is more advanced, covering arrhythmia recognition, pharmacology, advanced airway, and team leadership during cardiac emergencies in adults.
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) is similar to ACLS but focused on infants and children — including pediatric rhythms, pediatric dosing, pediatric airway, and shock/respiratory failure in children.

  • BLS is generally required for most healthcare providers (nurses, EMTs, paramedics, medical assistants) and often is a prerequisite to more advanced courses.
  • ACLS is required for those working in adult critical care, emergency departments, ICUs, or any setting that deals with adult cardiac emergencies.
  • PALS is required for those working in pediatrics, pediatric ICUs, ERs, or any environment where you might treat critically ill children.

According to Everything Nurses Need to Know About ACLS, BLS & PALS, “The Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required for all registered nurses. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required for RNs working in the ICU or with adults. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is required for RNs working with pediatric patients.” Nurse.org

  • Survival rates vary, but out-of-hospital cardiac arrest survival is about 10% on average.
  • However, immediate bystander CPR can double or triple survival chances.
  • High-quality chest compressions and early AED use are the most important factors.

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) keeps blood and oxygen flowing through the body when the heart stops beating. Chest compressions manually pump the heart, moving oxygen-rich blood to the brain and vital organs. Rescue breaths (or ventilations) add oxygen to the lungs, which then circulates with each compression.

While CPR does not restart the heart, it buys precious time by keeping the brain alive until advanced care (like defibrillation or medications) can restore a normal heartbeat. Without CPR, brain damage can begin in as little as 4–6 minutes.
